2024 Mutton Bustin’ Qualifier

$25 fee per contestant entry
Event Rules
- Riders must be between the ages of 4 and 7 (age as of the date of the rodeo) and weigh less than 60 pounds.
- The rider will take a wool hold and ride for six (6) seconds to score and receive points. Riders can use one or two hands for the hold. The sheep will be chute run and a committee member will place the rider on the sheep. (Committee member refers to those allowed in the arena during regular rodeo events: stock contractor, pick-up men, clowns, judges, sports medicine personnel, Rodeo Arena Co-Op members and volunteers.)
- Mutton Bustin’ contestants will remain in the arena until the event is over and the winner is announced.
- Contestants must follow PRCA dress code (long sleeve shirt, jeans and boots).
- All contestants must wear a helmet and protective vest. (Contestants may use their own, or they may use equipment that is provided by the committee.)
- No spurs will be allowed.
- Weigh-in and proof of age are required.
- $25.00 fee per contestant entry must be paid in full one hour prior to the start of the qualifier event on April 28, 2024.
- NO HELPERS FOR THE RIDER WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE ARENA
ANY VIOLATION OF THESE RULES WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION
