The demand for his top-notch saddles led to a partnership with Potts-Longhorn, and by the late 1950s, they were churning out a whopping 1,200 saddles a year.

Every saddle that bore the name "Billy Cook Maker" was a testament to quality and attention to detail.

Billy made sure of it. He was the inspector-in-chief, never letting production volumes compromise the craftsmanship he held dear. These saddles were a symbol of affordability, quality, and functionality—a hit with horse enthusiasts far and wide.

Fast forward to the 1980s, and Potts-Longhorn hit a rough patch during the recession. The company went belly-up, and Billy Cook decided it was time to go solo once again. In 1988, he incorporated as Billy Cook Harness & Saddle Manufacturing, Inc., this time in Texas. Shortly after, he moved his saddle-making operation to Sulphur, Oklahoma, where it stands proudly today.
